Stavros Vakalis 

Stavros Vakalis is an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of South Florida. He received the PhD and MSc degrees from Michigan State University, MI, USA and the Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Technical University of Athens, Greece. His research interests include applied electromagnetics with an emphasis on wireless millimeter-wave systems for imaging, radar, sensing, and communications.

Mehmet Yazgan

Mehmet Yazgan received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from KTO Karatay University, Konya, Turkey, in 2017. In 2020, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida, and he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree as a Research Assistant. His current research interests include joint radar and communication, 5G systems, FMCW radar systems, and physical layer security.


Tasin Nusrat

Tasin Nusrat received her B.S. from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2018. She pursued her MS degree in Electrical Engineering at South Dakota Mines, Rapid City, SD, USA, in 2023. In May 2023, she joined the doctoral program of the University of South Florida as a graduate research assistant in Wireless Sensing and Systems Research Group. Her current research interests include antennas, wireless communications, millimeter-wave wireless systems, and distributed radar apertures.


Shivani Sharma

Shivani Sharma completed her bachelors from NMIMS Mukesh Patel School of Technoloy Management and Engineering (MPSTME), Mumbai, India, in 2019. She received her Master's of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering at University of South Florida, Tampa, in 2021. She then worked for Foxconn Industrial Internet, Milwaukee as a Radio Frequency Engineer before joining the Wireless Sensing and Systems group in 2023. She's currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree at the University of South Florida as a Research Assistant. Her current research interests include antennas, wireless systems and radar systems.
